TAHA means "one" in a number of Pacific languages. We believe the first year of life (and the 9 months leading up to it) is critical and that the health of both mother and infant is determined by what goes on in their lives before baby turns one.

Safe Sleep Day Website

Every year, 60 babies in New Zealand die from Sudden Unexpected Death in Infancy (SUDI). Most of these are our Māori pēpi. Ensuring each baby has a safe sleep will dramatically reduce the number of SUDI cases in New Zealand.

Cure Kids

Approximately one child in 30 is affected by a genetic malformation; that’s an average of roughly one in every classroom. We’re searching for cures for, among others, childhood leukaemia and other cancers, heart diseases, cystic fibrosis, Sudden Infant Death Syndrome, Type 1 diabetes and asthma.
